Requirements and Courses Offered

Doctoral students must meet all of the University degree requirements as listed in the Wayne State University Graduate Division Bulletin. The course requirements for the doctoral degree total 90 semester credit hours. The 90 semester hours for required for graduation must include:

• Pathology courses - 30 hours (includes seminar & Individual study courses)
• Courses in chosen minor - 6 hours (usually Cancer Biology, Physiology or Biochemistry or Pharmacology)
• Dissertation Research - 30 hours
