Biography

Dr. Saleh has over 18 years of clinical experience in cytology covering gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology, and fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNA). Dr. Saleh is an expert with in-depth experience in the performance and evaluation of FNA specimens from various superficial and deep-seated lesions. His consultant expertise is in the field of non-gynecologic and FNA cytology. Dr. Saleh has a wealth of diagnostic and clinical experience in a full spectrum of neoplastic and non-neoplastic GI pathology with focused interest in colorectal cancer pathology. He serves as the director of the clinical-pathology-radiology GI multidisciplinary conference at Sinai-Grace Hospital.

Research Interests

Dr. Salehís research interests are in non-gynecologic and FNA cytology, and in gastrointestinal (GI) pathology. He is particularly interested in colorectal cancer. He has published many papers in GI and liver pathology. Currently, Dr. Saleh serves on the GI Working Group at Karmanos Cancer Institute/ Wayne State University School of Medicine.  He has also published many studies in non-gynecologic and FNA cytology in various cytology journals. He also serves on the Editorial Board of Journal of Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases (JGLD) and the Editorial Board of Cytojournal.
