Graduate Program

The PhD in Molecular Pathology of Human Disease

The Ph.D. in Molecular Pathology of Human Disease is a challenging, diversified research-intensive graduate program, with a strong emphasis on molecular mechanisms of cancer and cardiovascular/metabolic disease. The Ph.D. program is designed to train students for research careers in academia or industry, focused on understanding, treating and preventing human diseases of clinical relevance. To help students achieve these goals, the Department of Pathology has designed a program of study centered around laboratory research, but also combining coursework, laboratory rotations, journal clubs and seminars.

The pathology department also participates in The School of Medicine M.D./Ph.D. program and Cancer Biology program.
